Abstract
The HAuCl4-HClO4-H2O ternary system and the constituent binary systems were studied by isopiestically measuring pressures at 25 degrees C. For the ter nary system, small deviations from the Zdanowski rule were observed. The ac tivity coefficients of the components were calculated. The free energy of f ormation of HAuCl4 . 4H(2)O in solution, Delta G(298)(0) was found: (17.5 /- 0.1) kJ/mol.
