Properties of titanium-containing silicas and the specific features of thestate of water on their surfaces

For a number of titanium-containing silica gels prepared by the method of m olecular deposition, the results of heterogeneous pH-metric titration of aq ueous suspensions, ion-exchange measurements, and determination of macrosco pic wettability characteristics are reported. It is found that all these ch aracteristics change consistently with increasing thickness of the titanium oxide layer.
