Abstract
A new model qualitatively describing the limiting equivalent conductivity o f ionic solutions lambda(i)(o) is proposed. The model makes it possible to calculate desired characteristics only from the properties of the solvent, ionic crystal radii, and masses of the ions, without using fitting paramete rs. The adequacy of the model is tested by calculating lambda(i)(o) values for aqueous solutions and fourteen organic solvents belonging to various cl asses.
