Ss. Nabiev et Pg. Sennikov, Vibrational spectrum and molecular dynamics of trimethylgallium in the liquid state, RUSS J PH C, 73(10), 1999, pp. 1661-1666
The vibrational spectra of trimethylgallium (TMG) were studied in the liqui
d state (263-323 K) and in solution in liquefied Kr (120-140 K) in a wide f
requency range. The frequencies of 30 vibrational bands including second an
d third order transitions were measured and identified, and the integral ab
sorption coefficients of fundamental vibration bands were determined. The t
ime correlation functions of vibrational and orientation relaxation of the
nu(3)(A(l)') vibration were calculated, and the characteristic times of the
se processes were determined. Possible mechanisms of the formation of the b
and contour for the nu(3)(A(l)') mode in the Raman spectrum of liquid (CH3)
(3)Ga at various temperatures were analyzed.
