Abstract
The absorption and fluorescence spectra of 1,1,2,2,9,9,10,10-octafluoro[2,2 ]paracyclophane were studied. The influence on the absorption spectra of th e replacement of hydrogen (H) atoms by fluorine (F) in CH2-CH2 bridges was analyzed. The main reason for changes in the absorption spectrum of 1,1,2,2 ,9,9,10,10-octafluoro[2,2]paracyclophane with respect to the spectrum of [2 ,2]paracyclophane was shown to be spatial effects of fluoro substitution.
