Abstract
The trends in reactivity of CFn neutrals with a silica surface are studied using two different cluster models. CF appears to be the most reactive spec ies. The energetics, the activation energies, and the forward reaction rate s are computed for two reactions involving the Si-O bond breaking. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
