Abstract
Selective and double-selective J-HMBC 2D methods were developed and employe d to determine the coupling constants of harman (1). The H-1-C-13 and H-1-N -15 long-range coupling constants could be accurately determined without in terference from the H-1-H-1 J-modulation effect. We also applied selective J-HMBC 2D to 2-fluoropyridine (2) to confirm effectiveness. (C) 2000 Elsevi er Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
