The insulin-like growth factors (IGF-I and -II) are ubiquitously expressed factors that regulate cell growth, differentiation and maintenance of diffe rentiated cell function. All aspects of male and female reproduction are in fluenced by the IGF system. This review will examine the IGF system as it p ertains to reproductive physiology and applications.
