Abstract
The H-1 and C-13 NMR spectra of O-methyllaureolol were assigned utiliz ing the 2D HMQC and HMBC correlation techniques, The hydrogens and car bons of the steroid nucleus and its side-chain were completely assigne d using the HMQC and HMBC in concert, with the aid of DEFT spectra whi ch give the types of all carbon atoms. A NOESY spectrum confirmed its stereoconfiguration. (C) 1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
