article reviews the common presentations of the disease, discusses cu
rrent studies of the histology, pathogenesis, and etiology, and detail
s effective treatment modalities, The eruption commonly resolves withi
n 2 years; however, patients may desire treatment due to unacceptable
cosmesis or irritation. knowledge of the clinical manifestations, the
more common differential diagnoses, and the successful treatment plans
, including cryosurgery, surgical excision, intralesional triamcinolon
e, isotretinoin therapy, and PUVA therapy are necessary to provide pat
ients with the most beneficial care.
