Abstract
Rescue stenting was performed in 37 consecutive patients with unsuccessful thrombolytic therapy and a 46% rate of possible or definite intracoronary t hrombus. Thrombus resolution was achieved in all patients after, stent plac ement, without the need for adjunctive mechanical thrombectomy devices.
