A pulsed 10 MHz NMR system for imaging He-3 - He-4 mixtures on the mel
ting curve between 0.4K to 1.5K is described. The spatial distribution
of He-3, T1 and T2 relaxation times were mapped along the vertical di
rection, perpendicular to the liquid-solid interface. Multi-exponentia
l fits for the relaxation times were made. These are useful to follow
the relaxation of structural inhomogeneities in the crystal.
