Abstract
This study is based on representative samples of groups of sows. The r esults demonstrate the economic importance of infectious hospitalism i n a large pig production unit which can give rise to continuous, more or less severe injuries to state of health and efficiency in pig produ ction. Complex measures to reduce losses are indicated.
