Abstract
Intrahepatic biliary-enteric anastomosis is rarely practiced in pediat ric surgery. The authors report on two children who have been successf ully treated using this method, First described by Longmire and Sandfo rd in 1948, intrahepatic biliary-enteric anastomosis is possible in ch ildren. This procedure is only indicated as a last recourse for circum stances in which the extrahepatic biliary tree is completely obstructe d. Copyright (C) 1997 by W.B. Saunders Company.
