Intrahepatic biliary-enteric anastomosis is rarely practiced in pediat
ric surgery. The authors report on two children who have been successf
ully treated using this method, First described by Longmire and Sandfo
rd in 1948, intrahepatic biliary-enteric anastomosis is possible in ch
ildren. This procedure is only indicated as a last recourse for circum
stances in which the extrahepatic biliary tree is completely obstructe
