Abstract
Stable pi-conjugated anions are formed in the reaction of pi-Bowl-shaped an
d fullerene anions, as well as helicene and conjugated systems with alkali
metals. Reactivity, aromatic planar polycyclic anions, are discussed vis-a-
vis their aromatic properties and aggregation of the anions are described.
