Abstract
The first diiodo palladium complex with nucleophilic benzothiazole carbenes as ligands has been synthesized and characterized. The complex, which is e xtraordinarily stable towards heat, oxygen, and moisture, has been found to show good catalytic activity in the Heck coupling reaction.
