Abstract
Inclusion complexation processes involving four cyclodextrins and naproxen have been studied for the protonated and unprotonated forms of the guest mo lecule. The association constants have been evaluated from changes in the f luorescence intensity of naproxen following addition of a cyclodextrin to a n aqueous naproxen solution. H-1 NMR NOESY and ROESY spectra have shown tha t two orientations of the guest molecule relative to beta-cyclodextrin are possible.
