Abstract
A comparative spectroscopic investigation of self-trapped exciton (STE) emi ssion in anatase single crystals and thin films was carried out at 5 K. In the single crystals, a strongly polarized STE emission with an electrical v ector perpendicular to the c-axis was observed.
