Abstract
Weak satellite lines were found in the optical excitation spectra of the Eu 3+ F-7(0)-D-5(0) in Eu3+:Y2O3 crystals (undoped, Sc3+ doped and Zr4+ doped) . Optical-RF double resonance of the ground state are reported for the main and satellite lines of undoped and Sc3+ doped Eu3+:Y2O3 In the inhomogeneo us broadening for both the main and satellite, the RF resonance correspondi ng to transition of I-z = +/- 3/2 - +/- 1/2 increased with increasing the o ptical frequency with a rate of + 10 kHz/GHz but RF resonance of I-z = +/- 5/2 - +/- 3/2 did not dependent on the optical frequency. We could map site distribution on RF-optical axes and identify the site with three parameter s (optical and two RF frequencies). Additional sites in Sc3+-doped crystal were found in the site mapping.
