Abstract
Ag co-dopant in CaSO4 :RE phosphors shifts its major TSL peak from 200 degr ees C to similar to 375-400 degrees C. Similar to the case of CaSO4 : RE ph osphors, the emission spectra of CaSO4 : Ag, RE is, however, characteristic of the RE3+ ion. Tm and Dy are the two RE dopants in CaSO4 : Ag, RE which give the highest TSL sensitivity to gamma radiation. Their sensitivities ar e comparable to those of CaSO4 :Tm/Dy. The TSL response of CaSO4 :Ag, Tm/Dy was found to be Linear with gamma-dose and irradiation temperature indepen dent up to 280 degrees C. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserve d.
