Abstract
The subject of this paper is to investigate the effect of transition m etal oxides on the grindability of clinker. As it is concluded clinker containing ZnO has the lower grindability while clinker containing Mn O or Cr2O3 has the higher grindability. The classification of the adde d oxides, concerning the clinker grindability (descending sort), is: M nO, Cr2O3, Ni2O3, ZrO2, CuO, Co2O3, V2O5, MoO3, TiO2, ZnO. The study o f the clinker by means of X-Ray diffraction and optical microscopy con firms the results. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
