Abstract
Neurovirulence of several mumps virus strains was assessed in a prototype r at neurovirulence test and compared to results obtained in the monkey neuro virulence test. The relative human neurovirulence of these strains was prop ortional to the severity of hydrocephalus in rats but not to lesion scores in the monkeys.
