Abstract
A descriptive survey method was used to explore moral reasoning among nursi
ng graduate students who were nearing the end of their training in the mast
er's and doctoral programs. It is concluded that as a group, these students
possess the maturity to reason at principled stages, to provide care indep
endently, and to develop research careers.
