Abstract
Here we show that even a weak smearing can significantly distort Wigner fun
ction of a quantum state. In particular, for every point on the phase space
a state can be found, such that its Wigner function changes sign in the vi
cinity of this point as the result of arbitrary weak smearing. (C) 2000 Pub
