The method of superposition of configurations has been used to obtain accur
ate oscillator strengths and transition probabilities for transitions betwe
en the 3s(2)3p(5 2)P(o) ground state and the 3s3p(6), 3s(2)3p(4)3d and 3s(2
)3p(4)4s states of doubly-ionized potassium, triply-ionized calcium and fou
r-times-ionized scandium. The CIV3 code was used to perform calculations bo
th in LS coupling and in intermediate (or LSJ) coupling, using an extensive
set of correlation configurations. The present results are believed to be
the most accurate available and are compared with previous theoretical work
