Abstract
The full nonlinear evolution of a four-held plasma model with vanishing res istivity reveals that the eventual nonlinear saturation regime is markedly different from extrapolations suggested by investigations of the early nonl inear stage, and that topological transitions akin to filamentation in pres sure and current density occur, driven by the nonlinear evolution of the fl uid motion.
