Abstract
The magnetization through an electric-held-driven transition from a charge ordered state to a conducting one in polycrystalline Pr1-xCaxMnO3, with x = 1/3 and 0.4, have been measured, simultaneously with current-voltage chara cteristics. These measurements have been performed at several temperatures and magnetic fields in the ranges 20-40 K and 0-3.5 T, respectively. A sign ificant increase in the magnetization, observed at the transition, fits in with a two phase model of insulator-metal transition in this system.
