Cyber space experiment, utilizing a combined system of fast computer plus 3
D visualization system proves to be a powerful approach especially in non-l
inear astrophysical magnetohydrodynamic problems, among others. This is bec
ause (a) problems in extreme situations in astronomy, with which the active
experiment was thus-far impossible, can now be taken into the experimental
set up in the Cyber space, and some active experiments can be made, (b) ex
perimental approach is useful for non-linear problems that develop often be
yond human expectations, (c) the present day computer simulation technique
can deal with nun-linear equation systems to a satisfactory level, and (d)
the results of simulations in 3D require analyses using good 3D visualizati
on tools.
We have treated some of the problems of astronomical magnetohydrodynamics w
hich gives the basis for active phenomena like flares and jets that have be
en revealed by radio and X-ray astronomy. We here discuss the astrophysical
jet problem as an example.
