Simulation on generation of electromagnetic waves from electron beam: Application to solar type III radio bursts

Using a two-dimensional electromagnetic and relativistic particle-in-cell ( 2-D EM PIG) code, we show that electromagnetic waves are excited with near fundamental plasma frequency from relativistic electron beam instability. I t is also shown that electromagnetic waves with almost second harmonics can be emitted after a little time delay.
