Abstract
A case of ESWL treatment, as monotherapy, of a 'stoned' ureteral stent in a 12-year-old boy was described. Two years previously, the patient had pyelo lithotomy with staghorn stone removal, and double-J stent was left indwelli ng intraoperatively, The patient was lost for follow-up for 2 years, when h e had multiple stone formation adherent to the whole length of the stent. F our ESWL sessions were required before the stent was freed for removal. Cop yright (C) 2000 S. Karger AG, Basel.
