Abstract
The surface settling of a liquid meniscus upon Step reduction in gravity in a right circular cylinder is calculated numerically. The intention to desc ribe the fluid motion mathematically encounters the difficulty of modelling the moving contact-fine problem. rn the numerical simulations a slip bound ary condition and a modified model for the dynamic contact angle are used. We achieved good agreement with experimental data.
