Tunneling investigations of ferromagnetic La0.6Sr0.4MnO3 ceramic samples sh
owing negative magnetoresistance effect were carried out in two types of ju
nctions: symmetric "break junctions" and asymmetric ceramics-insulator-meta
l junctions. The results are consistent with the presence of small ferromag
netic clusters in the insulating barriers of both types of junctions and su
ggest a two-phase state realized by impurity mechanism of phase separation.
