In this paper,a method of chaos control based on the linear and nonlinear t
ransformation of system variables is proposed. The Henon map and Lorenz sys
tem are taken as two typical examples to demonstrate the effectiveness of t
his method. The results show that the UPOs embedded in the chaotic system c
an be stably controlled by changing the linear transformation matrix of sys
tem variables. We can obtain lots of new stable dynamical behavior when thi
s method is extended to nonlinear transformation. At the same time, we disc
uss the physical mechanism of this chaos control method from point of view
of the information entropy.
