Abstract
The purpose of this preliminary study was to assess the ability of first-ye ar PM&R residents to accurately predict functional outcome in an acute reha bilitation setting. Although statistically significant, the accuracy and pr ecision of the residents' predictive skills were rather modest. A future fo cus on innovative methods to evaluate and develop these clinical skills app ears warranted.
