Abstract
A nonstandard approach for describing the nuclear 2 nu beta beta decay is b riefly outlined and applied to the decay of Ca-48. The approach is based on a new formula obtained by a model-independent transformation of the known expression for the amplitude. This formula takes explicitly into account hi ndrance of the decay-amplitude due to the presence of the collective Gamow- Teller state. Calculation results are compared with known experimental data .
