Abstract
The authors report continuously tunable (2.71 mu m - 2.83 mu m) operation o f a diode-pumped mid-IR Er-doped ZBLAN fibre laser, with output powers >1 m W over the entire 120nm tuning range and > 5mW over 56nm (2.78 mu m to 2.83 mu m) of this range.
