Abstract
The measured performances of 5GHz single-stage power amplifiers are present ed. The amplifying stages were designed using a recently proposed high effi ciency design methodology. Improvements in terms of power-added efficiency of 12, 29 and 43% as compared to standard design approaches have been obtai ned.
