A circular dichroism approach to the conformation of 1-arylethylamino-substituted 1,3,5-triazine derivatives

CD data of the optically pure 2-[(R)-1-(9-anthryl)ethylamino]-4-chloro-6-[( R)-1-(l-naphthyl)-ethylamino] 2-[(R)-1-(9-anthryl)ethylamino]-4,6-bis[(1-na phthyl)-ethylamino]-1,3,5-triazine, 2,4-bis[(R)-1-(9-anthryl)ethylamino]-6- chloro-1,3,5-triazine are presented. The analysis of the CD spectra by mean s of the nonempirical DeVoe approach has afforded the complete conformation al characterisation of the three s-triazine derivatives, allowing us to est ablish how the conformation of these derivatives depends on the nature of t he substituent 1-arylethylamino groups.
