Abstract
With the introduction of multidetector technology in CT and the moveable ta ble with integrated coil modules in MRI, the concept of multiorgan screenin g has become realistic. CT colonography and MR colonography are new radiolo gic techniques that promise to be highly sensitive colorectal screening exa minations. This article reviews the current status and research directions in CT colonography and MR colonography, and compares these methods.
