Abstract
Oat and barley seeds have been exposed to both continuous and pulsed glow d ischarge plasmas in air to investigate the effects on germination and sprou t growth. Statistical analysis was used to evaluate the effect of plasma ex posure on the percentage germination and length of sprout growth. A stimula ting effect of plasma exposure was found together with a strong dependence on whether continuous or pulsed discharges were used.
