Abstract
Single step synthesis of 4H-1,4-benzothiazines involving condensation and o xidative cyclisation of 2-amino-5-bromo-3-methylbenzenethiol with beta-dike tones/beta-ketoesrers in dimethyl sulfoxide is reported.
