Abstract
The probability density function of velocity differences deltav(i) = v (i)(x+r)-v(i)(x) in turbulent flows has a stricking evolution when r g oes from large scales to small dissipative ones developing wide non ga ussian wings. A formalism has been developed, generalizing the multifr actal formalism, which well describes this evolution for finite Reynol ds numbers. The extrapolation to infinite Reynolds number presents une xpected features.
