Abstract
New ternary complexes of the types Ln(phen)L-3 and Ln(bipy)L-3 (phen = 1,10 -phenanthroline, bipy = 2,2'-bipyridine; L = 2-mercaptosalicylic acid; Ln = La3+, Nd3+, Sm3+, Eu3+, Gd3+, Tb3+, Ho3+, Yb3+) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, CD, XPS, IR, H-1 NM R (DMF-d(7)) and electronic spectra.
