Abstract
Air breathing proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) are being co nsidered as a power source for man-portable equipment, such as army ra dios. In addition to the weight and volume of the fuel cell itself, th e device producing hydrogen with which to fuel the cell is also of cru cial importance, This paper describes a number of hydrogen storage met hods and discusses their applicability to man-portable equipment.
