Abstract
Multiscale Lattice Boltzmann schemes for fluid dynamic applications are des cribed and their efficiency is discussed in terms of accuracy and computati onal cost. A novel application to axial compressor flows is proposed. Condi tions on periodic boundaries have been appropriately developed. Our prelimi nary results indicate that these schemes hold good potential for the simula tion of fluid flows in turbomachines.
