Abstract
Submucosal diathermy to the inferior turbinates is a common surgical proced ure performed to improve the nasal airway. We present the case of a previou sly well six-year-old boy who underwent submucosal diathermy and developed the unusual complication of a left oculomotor nerve palsy. The possible aet iology is discussed.
