Abstract
Tensor hysteresis loops with minor loops are measured for a 25.4 mm line pi pe steel cube while compressive stresses are applied successively in the di rections orthogonal to the applied field. The reversible and irreversible d ifferential magnetic susceptibilities for each element are derived and the effects of compressive stress are studied. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
