Abstract
Nanoporous carbon prepared by chlorination of TiC powder has been character ized by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and showed a disordered amorphous structure of graphite planes with areas of an onion -like structure, where the graphite planes are ordered with concentric sphe rical graphitic shells (15-35 nm) interpenetrating and overlapping each oth er.
