Abstract
The flux distribution in slab lattices and the disadvantage factor are calc ulated for a moderator with anisotropic scattering and its external surface s with reflection coefficient R less than or equal to 1. Three coupled inte gral equations for the fluxes in the fuel and the moderator are obtained. T he Galerkin method is used to solve the coupled equation. Numerical calcula tions and comparison for isotropic scattering indicate that the approach is reasonably accurate. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
