Hp. Schwarze et al., Delayed-hypersensitivity granulomatous reaction induced by blepharopigmentation with aluminum-silicate, J AM ACAD D, 42(5), 2000, pp. 888-891
Blepharopigmentation has been introduced during the last decade as a techni
que for creating a permanent line along the eyelid margin, thus simulating
a cosmetic eyeliner. Complications related to this procedure are mostly rep
orted in the opthalmologic literature describing infectious, allergic, or t
echnical problems. We report a case of a woman mho underwent blepharopigmen
tation with aluminum-silicate and in whom a delayed hypersensitivity granul
omatous reaction developed.
